Drawing Childhood (Spring 2022)
Painted over six weeks in the spring of 2022, Drawing Childhood marked my return to art after years devoted to raising my babies. This series bloomed from the joy, wonder, and endless imagination of my children—who were not just muses, but creative collaborators. Each watercolour is filled with playful, magical imagery, some scenes pulled directly from their stories and ideas, others from the quiet poetry of our everyday moments together. These works are a love letter to early motherhood, to the beauty of beginning again, and to the boundless creativity that childhood brings into our lives.
